Branch Manger /Loan Officer


Reports to Bienville/Claiborne Parish Market President

The person in this position will be responsible for day to day operations of the branch. Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Supervision of Teller/CSR employees, including scheduling employees, approving transactions, assisting with balancing cash drawers and vault and opening new deposit accounts.
  • Consumer Lending, including assisting customers with initial loan application, calculating financial ratios such as loan to value and debit to income, making lending decision within GBT policy and assigned lending limits, assisting customers with final loan documentation, booking loans, processing loan files/paperwork, etc. Attending loan officer meetings and compiling required reports. Overall responsibility of personal loan portfolio and loans for lenders no longer with GBT, including but not limited to ensuing loan file has proper documentation and assisting with collection of past due accounts.
  • Hands on day to day work in the Teller or Customer Service Representative area if needed. This will include running a teller window, vault teller, opening new deposit accounts for customers, etc.
  • Business Development – representing Gibsland Bank in surrounding area at community events and developing new or existing customer relationships.
  • Ensure that branch staff follow GBT policies and procedures.
  • Strong computer skills required, including all Microsoft Office products.
  • Consistent and reliable presence at work is required. Schedule will vary and may include early mornings, late afternoons and Saturdays.
  • Minimum of two years of prior banking or related experience in teller, customer service, lending and operations areas that demonstrates increased levels of responsibility and competency. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Accounting preferred.

Administrative Assistant/Customer Service Representative


Reports to Webster Parish Market President

  • The job duties for this position include but are not limited to:
  • Provide administrative support for the Webster Parish Market President including answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, communication with customers, completing and submitting required paperwork according to regulations and GBT policy.
  • Provide customer service support by opening and maintain all types of deposit accounts and loan accounts, contacting customers to obtain required information, completing and submitting required paperwork and reports, process and package loan paperwork.
  • Strong computer skills required, including all Microsoft Office products.
  • Consistent and reliable presence at work is required. Schedule will vary and may include early mornings, late afternoons and Saturdays.
  • Requires 5 years of administrative experience. Prior banking experience preferred.
