Market President

There are 3 job opportunities – one for the Bienville/Claiborne Parish Market – reporting to the Executive Vice President, one for the Webster Parish Market – reporting to the CFO, and one for the Caddo/Bossier Parish Market – reporting to the President & CEO.


The individual in this job will administer operation of a market area of branch offices of the bank as well as maintain an individual loan portfolio.


Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage the market area's branch offices operation and profitability
  • Represent the bank to the community
  • Help the market area's branch offices to attain internal performance objectives for business volume, deposits, loan portfolios, and audit reports
  • Participate in lending activities by maintaining individual loan portfolio and assisting branch loan staff. May approve loans for branch loan staff that are above their lending limits or that have policy exceptions
  • Direct branch personnel to ensure prompt, accurate and dependable customer service
  • Assist branch management staff and Human Resources staff with personnel issues such as: recognizing exceptional performance, disciplinary actions, interviewing, performance reviews, counseling, etc.
  • Contact with GBT Customers, Operations Staff, Loan Review Staff, Human Resources and IT
  • Supervise Branch Managers in the specific market area and administrative support staff

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or other related field
  • Six to 8 years of related experience
  • Graduate School of Banking preferred
  • Excellent management, communication and human resources skills
  • Extensive background in branch operating policies and procedures, banking regulations (state and federal), employee development and public relations
  • Ties to the local market area such as involvement in civic groups, schools, churches, etc.
  • Consistent and reliable presence at work is required. Schedule will vary and may include early mornings, late afternoons and Saturdays


Mortgage Loan Processor/Shipper/Closer

Mortgage Office – Bossier City

Deadline to Apply: October 3, 2014

The person in this position will work with our Mortgage Loan Officers to ensure all information on mortgage loan applications is accurate and complete, submit completed application packages to investors, and assist with closing mortgage loans. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Verify, compile and type application information for mortgage loans.
  • Review residential loan application file to verity that application data is complete and meets establishment governmental regulations and industry standards, including type and amount of mortgage, borrower assets, liabilities and length of employment.
  • Determine that loans meet or do not meet standards for approval. If loan does not meet prescribed standards assist in denying loan applications.
  • Call or write credit bureau and employer to verify accuracy of information
  • Call specified companies to obtain property abstract, survey and appraisal. Inform supervisor of discrepancies in title or survey.
  • Submit mortgage loan application file for underwriting approval.
  • Type and mail approval and denial letters to applicants.
  • Submit approved mortgage loan file to mortgage loan closer for settlement.
  • Record data on status of loans, including number of new applications and loans approved, canceled or denied.
  • Represent GBT in the local community
  • Consistent and reliable presence at work is required. Schedule will vary and may include early mornings, late afternoons and Saturdays.

The person in this position should have the following qualifications and experience

  • Four years prior mortgage loan processing experience, or equivalent education and experience
  • Closing, funding and shipping experience is preferred
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, etc.) and Point
  • Prior licensing with NMLS or the ability to become licensed with NMLS

Business Development Officer

Webster/Bossier Parishes

  • The person in this position will develop relationships with new and existing customers primarily in Webster & Bossier Parishes Other Parishes in our trade area include Bienville, Claiborne &, Caddo.
  • Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: Interview commercial and consumer loan customers; calculation of various financial ratios such as debt to income; make credit decisions within approved lending limits and bank policy; develop loan presentations for Senior Management approval; ensure loan documentation is complete, accurate, and follows all regulatory and bank regulations & policies; collection of past due accounts; preparation of required monthly reports.
  • Represent GBT in the local community
  • Prior lending experience is required.
  • Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or other related field is required
  • Consistent and reliable presence at work is required. Schedule will vary and may include early mornings, late afternoons and Saturdays.

Business Development Officer - Consumer & Agriculture

Bienville/Claiborne Parishes

  • The person in this position will develop relationships with new and existing customers primarily in Bienville & Claiborne Parishes Other Parishes in our trade area include Webster, Caddo & Bossier.

  • Prior lending experience is preferred.
